You'd have been teased for wearing tube-themed clothing 10 years ago, but now it's very much a la mode (of transport).
To prove the point, The London Sock Exchange has teamed up with TfL to create a (tube) line of transport-themed footwear.
Among designs in the collection, which celebrates London's design heritage, are grey/black/yellow lined socks that hint at a tube platform edge; a bright orange 'Gingerline' offering (a nod to the Overground and its vibrant colour scheme); blue socks adorned with cute tube trains; and a burgundy pair featuring diddy Routemaster buses.
The socks — made from sustainably-sourced yarn — can be bought on the London Sock Exchange website for £12 a pair, and are also available in various gift sets. Basically, everyone's birthday and Christmas presents are now sorted this year.
